October Apple Fest

On October 22nd and 23rd, the Bayview Leaside BIA held their first ever October Apple Street Festival. It was a true fall event - complete autumn decor, and an eclectic group of busking street musicians. Many of the local businesses participated by handing out apple themed products, and we here at Cavatina Violin Studio decided to take part in the musical portion of the festivities.
We set up shop on the sidewalk outside our 1560 Bayview Avenue, and handed out apple themed cupcakes, invited passers by to enter our prize draw for a month of lessons, and Carmen even played a few pieces for the crowd. To top it all off, two of our students, Phoebe and Jasmine, entertained the crowd with a special duet performance! The girls put in a lot of practice to get ready for apple fest, and had a wonderful time showcasing all of their hard work for the audience. They originally planned to only play through their duets twice, but after audience demand, they played a third encore performance!
We had such a wonderful time meeting all the Leaside community members who stopped by our booth at Apple Fest!
