2019 Spring Studio Recital Highlights
Saturday, May 18th was a very special day here at the Studio. Nineteen students took to the stage, (expertly assisted by pianist Christopher Siu!) at Northlea United for the end of the year Spring Studio Recital!
From Bach to Beethoven and everything in between, it was an evening filled with beautiful music and wonderful performances by each student. In addition to individual performances, this year each student participated in an end of recital group ensemble performance.
The ensembles were divided into three experience level groups, Beginning String Ensemble, Intermediate/Advanced String Ensemble, and Vocal Ensemble. For most students, this marked the first time they had ever played in a group, and some Beginning Ensemble members had only been playing violin for one year. In addition, each group only had one rehearsal together prior to their respective group recital performances!
A big thank you to all the parents, friends, and family members for their continued support, and for making all this possible by bringing your children to lessons each week. Thank you to Robert and everyone at Northlea United Church for allowing us to play in your beautiful space. Thank you also to pianist, Christopher Siu for making everyone shine with your amazing accompaniment. Thank you to Justin Tso for the lovely photos, and last but not least, to The Flakey Tart for the delicious and beautiful cake.
Congratulations to all Cavatina Students on their wonderful performances at the Spring Studio Recital. I could not be more proud of each and everyone of you . . . bravo!!
